Introducing our new brush cleaner – Brush Buddy.
Suitable for cleaning water based colour from brushes

Fill a bowl with warm/hot water and rinse your brushes by shaking in the water.

Take your brush buddy and gently rub the brush on the soap (round brushes are done in a circular movement, square shader brushes and long liners are done gently wiping the brush across the soap – a horizontal movement) then rub the brush in the palm of your hand, releasing all the left over colour out of your brush: Clean all your brushes this way. When they are all at this stage….fill your bowl with warm water and rinse all your brushes.

Making sure all the soap cleaner is out of your brush, pull the brush between your thumb and index finger getting rid of excess water and bring your brush hairs back to shape.

To dry, your brushes should be laid on a table or shelf, with the bristle end hanging over the edge in order for it to dry. Once dry they can be stored standing up.*

* The mistake is to dry your brushes standing up in container while they are wet…..water runs down the ferrel and will force the bristles apart….(the sign of a bad hair day)

In normal circumstances I clean my brushes under a running tap, but this seems wasteful if you have multiple brushes to clean…..hence the bowl of warm water. But whatever works for you, running tap, or water bowl…..
